Tinig UK, "the voice of the Filipinos in the UK", started as a Facebook page in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic. Shortly after, it began to grow and became a website that is now an independent digital media hub connecting the Filipino community in the UK.

The project was born in response to the lack of reliable information on how Covid-19 affected the Filipino community and to raise awareness on how Covid-19 impacted Filipino health workers in the UK. Furthermore, this independent digital media outlet is dedicated to promoting Philippine culture and showcasing Filipino immigrants' businesses and experiences in the UK.

Some of its information includes news and opinions on Filipinos living in the UK, public affairs and breaking news about the Philippines, and information services helping Filipinos understand their rights and duties, such as how they can vote in the Philippines.

There is also a section dedicated to culture and a list of Filipino organisations. One of the focuses of Tinig UK is the experiences of Filipino domestic workers in the UK, and some of these stories are created in partnership with local Filipino organisations.

Tinig UK was founded by Liezel Longoboan, a Filipino woman with a background in the media, education, and non-profit sectors in the UK and the Philippines. The organisation also includes content editor Mari An-Santos and marketing consultant Melissa Grace Dizon.
