Formerly a franchisee of the eponymous Russian website, The Village runs its editorial team independently and with its own priorities. It primarily covers lifestyle topics such as urban infrastructure, food, entrepreneurship, etc.

It focuses on telling human stories through strong characters to which its audience can relate, mostly young Belarusian urbanites, just like The Village's readers.

After the brutal crushing of the 2020 protests, The Village started to develop its news coverage capacity. From simple news reporting, it began to publish longer-form pieces, which, like the rest of its coverage, have a solid human, character-driven focus.
