sCOOL Media is part of the Media Literacy in the Classroom initiative by the Association of European Journalists-Bulgaria in cooperation with the Bulgarian Fulbright Commission and the America for Bulgaria Foundation. It aims to equip high school students in Bulgaria with the necessary skills to critically assess, interpret, and analyse information.

sCOOL Media aims to help build a new generation of reporters who can distinguish fact from fiction by developing their critical thinking in order to deal with the excess of information in the digital age.

sCOOL Media helps high school students become well-versed in the ways the media works, allowing them to work alongside experienced editors to produce quality pieces, and provides a platform to present their work to a wider audience.

Stories published on the bilingual site (in Bulgarian and English) follow journalistic ethics and standards, as the students also hone their skills in news-gathering, writing, and fact-checking and learn more about the profession.
