Quartier Général (QG)

https://qg.media

QG is a media outlet aiming to support whistleblowers and defenders of social justice, and highlight the voices of those who do not find media coverage elsewhere.

The media organisation was founded in 2018—a time of high social tension and repression, as it fell during the Yellow Vest movement in France, protests against a bill to reform the retirement system, the so-called global security law, and the wave of demonstrations around the world following the death of George Floyd.

QG is an outgrowth of these various struggles, from which it intends to draw lessons and to be a meeting platform for progressive intellectuals. According to its founder Aude Lancelin, finding left-wing intellectuals who speak freely is increasingly challenging.

The media outlet aims to be a place of openness to financial and political issues at a time when the government has not heard all populations, despite the Great Debate and the cahiers de doléances, which have fallen into oblivion.

QG finances itself by subscriptions; it does not include advertising or belongs to investors, companies, or political parties.
