Medialab combines media and laboratory, creating new journalistic formats and exploring traditional ones through multimedia tools. The founder of Medialab is the NGO Umbrella Network of International Journalists.

Medialab started by publishing political cartoons, a forgotten journalism genre in the Armenian media. The first comics and satire publications engaged a large audience. After that, Medialab started to produce digital storytelling pieces while keeping satire and comics.

The team produces special projects across several forms: analyses, investigations, interviews, reviews, columns of opinion, and photojournalism. The cartoons and comics are widely shared in the Armenian digital space and are still Medialab's signature.
