JAMnews is a media outlet that brings together professional journalists, authors, and experts from around the Caucasus. It provides readers with diverse and multi-perspective information in five languages: Georgian, Armenian, Azerbaijani, English, and Russian. JAMnews is headquartered in Tbilisi, but also has offices and representations in Sokhumi, Yerevan, Baku, and Tskhinvali.

JAMnews values introducing to the public the diverse, even opposite, views of people who often live on different sides of conflict areas, and in contrasting political and social realities.

JAMnews, a project of Go Group, was founded in 2016 by journalist Margarita Akhveliani. The majority of the initial team used to work for the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) and had extensive experience in cross-Caucasian and conflict reporting. With the new platform, the team brought human stories to life, engaged citizen reporters, and created a network of journalists and editors throughout the Caucasus. Despite some challenges, most of the content is translated and adapted to local languages.

JAMnews also provides independent news from Eastern Europe and Central Asia thanks to being part of the Russian Language News Exchange initiative (RLNE).

Additionally, the outlet runs media schools, recruiting young people interested in storytelling. Since its launch in 2011, the JAMnews media school, as part of the Caucasus Authors' Course, has trained 90 Georgian, Abkhaz, Ossetian, Armenian, and Azerbaijani reporters. Some of them have already joined the media organisation as journalists.

The media outlet has received numerous recognitions over the years, such as the best story in print or online media from the EU Prize for Journalism in 2022, the Tolerance and Diversity Reporting Prize from the Georgian ombudsman in 2017, the Constitution Reporting Prize from the Georgian President's administration, and the Best Article Prize from the Save the Children Armenia Country Office.
