GazetaBlic was founded in Pristina in 2014, during the explosion of online media in Kosovo's journalism industry. When traditional printed newspapers switched from print to online, GazetaBlic used the space to share fast and accurate information, thereby gradually increasing its number of visitors.
Its motto is "Straight to the point". According to its chief executive officer Adrian Çollaku, GazetaBlic established itself as a dynamic and credible source of information for Kosovo's citizens and other Albanian-speaking audiences in Western Balkans countries, namely Albania, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Montenegro.
GazetaBlic encourages debate on topics of particular importance to Kosovo's public opinion, such as democratisation, good governance, the rule of law, human rights, and welfare. It has a column where external authors critically analyse different topics related to the latest developments in Kosovo.
Its most popular videos are Expose and Blic InterView with Astrit Gashin. Expose is a weekly documentary investigating security, organised crime, corruption, and human rights violations. In 2022, it received the best TV documentary award from the Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK). On the other hand, Blic InterView, presented by GazetaBlic's founder Astrit Gashi, is a weekly show discussing Kosovo's current affairs.
Its business model is based on providing space for advertising, which is its primary source of revenue, as well as on the promotion of services.
