Gazeta Infokus is a digital media outlet covering general news, primarily related to politics, economy, law, crime, and human rights. Founded in 2012, it has aimed to position itself in the Kosovo media industry as an outlet that conducts investigations, especially concerning the misuse of public money.
According to co-founder Shkelzen Dakaj, its mission is to provide information that other media outlets do not present, and it targets the Albanian-speaking audience in all the Western Balkans countries.
Above all, Gazeta Infokus is known for its production of video content. Every week, it publishes video shows, the most popular of which is called N'konak, where guests, including politicians and analysts, share their thoughts on the latest developments in Kosovo. Grate N'fokus is another weekly video show that openly discusses the challenges faced by women in their lives, such as unemployment, discrimination in workplaces, and violence.
Gazeta Infokus is also known for its coverage of the economic sector through news, investigations, and other in-depth pieces.
Even though it was founded in 2012, the outlet is still in a phase of expansion. Its strategy for the upcoming years is to increase its video production. Advertising is currently the primary source of revenue for the organisation.
Gazeta Infokus has also been the target of hacking attacks. A recent attack cost the organisation the loss of its leading platforms, including access to its website domain and social media platforms. As a result of this, it lost around 700,000 followers on its Facebook pages.
