eTrafika is a digital media outlet created in October 2011 in Banja Luka by journalism students. Its mission is to provide internships to journalism students and report on topics such as youth, marginalised groups, human rights, and corruption.
eTrafika's investigations led to the inclusion of sexual violence against children in the Criminal Code and the creation of the Register of Legally Convicted Pedophiles in Republika Srpska, one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its stories initiated several investigations into corruption.
In 2021, eTrafika launched the first photo stock in Bosnia and Herzegovina under the name Foto baza (in English: Photo base), aiming to reduce the illegal use of professional photos and to ensure copyright protection. It offers a variety of high-quality pictures for all types of publications. The platform has already connected local photographers with companies and businesses interested in purchasing their photos, creating links between the two sectors.
Since 2016, eTrafika has organised the memorial photo contest Goran Terzić in memory of Goran Terzić, a well-known photographer from Banja Luka who died in 2015.
The portal is registered as a citizens' association and funded through donations and project grants. eTrafika received several journalism awards, including the EU Best Investigative Story by a Young Journalist award in 2015 and the UNICEF's Srdjan Aleksic Award in 2016.
