Dela0.ro

Dela0.ro is an independent journalism platform with a team consisting of six people - four reporters, one video editor and one IT person.

After launching the online magazine in November 2011, founders Oana Dan and Vlad Stoicescu were joined by Andrei Crăciun, Silviu Panaite, Diana Oncioiu and Mihai Dragolea. Other Dela0.ro collaborators include Zora Iuga, Oana Olariu, Cristi Citre, Ionela Gavriliu, Sintia Radu and Roxana Dascălu.

The reporters invest significant time and resources in the research phase of their stories, ensuring that every piece of information published has been seen, questioned, and verified. The team believes in always going to the scene of the facts and understanding the background of stories and events.

Dela0.ro does alternative press, meaning that the production, content and distribution do not follow traditional publishing norms. Their journalistic product is also independent – the media platform has no financial backers, supporting itself exclusively through grants earned by team members or from media services operated through an NGO.

The organisation and its reporters have received several journalism awards from the Romanian Press Club, Freedom House, and Superscrieri - Friends for Friends.

In 2014 and 2015, Foreign Policy Romania magazine included Dela0.ro in its list of One hundred names that move the country with the power of ideas or deeds in the Media category.
