Launched in 2006, Artecapital is a reference among those who care about contemporary arts like its founder, Victor Pinto da Fonseca, does. He runs the website, and the information published is provided by an army of freelance collaborators who write about visual arts, design, architecture, and performative arts with more depth than mainstream media but without the closed-off language of academia.

Inspired by media outlets like Frieze or Artforum, but without these media's financial means, Artecapital is unique in the media landscape in Portugal. Artists, lovers of art and promoters of culture respect it as such.

In 2006, Victor Pinto da Fonseca launched the project Plataforma Revólver, an independent contemporary art organisation in Lisbon which offers international exhibitions and artistic residencies. The public can visit the exhibitions for free, and all information on Plataforma Revólver is available on Artecapital's website.

Artecapital and Plataforma Revólver are part of Victor Pinto da Fonseca's mission: to actively participate in the international art dialogue and bring that dialogue to everyone curious about art.
